I was offered a job at a deli counter at a local supermarket. I would really like to take the job because I need one desperately but I don't know the first thing about working in a deli! What are some things you need to know besides 'do not chop off your fingers'?

  1. Well you have to be a older to run that machine I know my daughter was 'underage' and couldn't take a summer job because part of the job was using that machine.

That was a federal law not a state one.

You will have to wear plastic gloves when your making sandwiches that can cause a lot of wear and tear on your hands, mine would sweat if they were covered for too long and it would dry them out, use lotion after each shift.

  2. Please do not worried about it.

they will train you first .

all you need is a good customer services skills, big smile, and be a team player.

best wishes to you in your new job.

  3. Benefit, Pay, friendly, shift, Medical Emergency Plan. everything else should be basic
