What do you need to take out a non-drivers license?

I live in new york state, all I have is a social security card and my birth certificate, my passport needs to be renewed but I need a license now!!

You can get a non drivers ID card at the DMV with your birth cert and usually just proof of adress.

U NED THE SAME AMOUNT OF POINTS FOR A NON DRIVERS ID AS FOR A REG LICENSE. POINTS BEING, BIRTH CERTIFICATE, SSN CARD, PASSPORT, ETC. THE DMV HAS A  LIST OF HOW MUCH EACH DOCUMENT IS WORTH AS POINTS. IT TAKES UP TO SIX  ( 6 ) POINTS TO GET A NON DRIVERS ID. GOOD LUCK.
