I want some details from people who have worked for magazine companies. I'm currently gaining my degree in graphic design. Can someone give me details about getting the job, and once getting hired what the job required daily. I'm hoping to be working on layouts, but I'm not sure how it all works. I just want to know how much experience is needed what degree ect. My dream is to work for a magazine company. I might even get a minor in journalism. Either writing in a magazine, or doing layouts either one really sparks my interest. What do I need to get there?

  1. I work in the Broadcast industry and one word of advice; get an Internship! This way, you will have creative license to network your way around the organization. Unlike a regular employee with limits, you will be able to approach anyone with confidence and promote yourself. Don't worry about the capacity of the position, just get your foot in the door! If you'd like to talk in greater detail, feel free to email me at perrygreenwich@yahoo.com.

I also wanted to tell you that I used this approach and now in my twentieth year at the Network!
