  1. First, the change over from analog TV to digital has absolutely nothing to do with Dish TV or satellite TV. Satellite TV would be here even if analog TV was NOT going away...

Secondly, digital TV is 1000 times better than analog and will allow the government to sell the frequency spectrum for other uses.

Lastly, you may have an antenna which is not aimed correctly. It sounds like you need to check the signal strength and possible call Dish TV to re-aim their antenna.

Lastly, can always have an over the air antenna and run that into either your TVs coax input or into the receiver itself, as you can do on Directv systems.

  2. My husabnd and I had rabit ears and we knew we were going to need the new dtv box, so we bought it. when we brought it home and set it up we realized that it has to be used along with the rabit ears which we had been excited to get rid of. Also, where with rabit ears your tv gets fuzzy, it now just pauses and cuts out like a dvd would do that had scratches on it. Now we are going to have to buy a set of really good rabbit ears to that we will have a better connection. the box itself was already $50 and now we have to probably spend another $50 on a better set of rabbit ears!
