  1. cmon now he almost lost to a  past prime oscar.

  2. You siad it right in your topic. One of the greatest P4P fighters. Key word, " one of the greatest". It's funny how people siad Mayweather need to beat Cotto and that's it. It went from Cotto, Cintron, Williams, Margarito and Mosley etc. I believe people are waiting on him to lose and cant stand it when he win's. Every time PBF wins, they throw a tamper tantrum. He was to small, past his prime and he got robbed. Before the fights, they are stronger, pressure is to much for PBF, he haven't fought anyone, he's going to knock PBF out and PBF is ducking him. Before and after.

  3. NO!.. let me explain..

Floyd Mayweather is an awesome fighter at 39-0 (25 KO), but the reason he beats fighters etc is because of his mind games (Okay.. Baldomir was easy), but for instance.. Ricky Hatton..

When the fight was first made last July, i fancied Ricky 100%, because Ricky had the footwork, and the body punches to beat Mayweather.. but when the night actually came, Hatton was so worked up from the interviews and tours, and went into the fight head hunting, not throwing body shots etc.. but if Mayweather was to fight Cotto, he WOULD lose, Cotto would outbox and out think him!!

  4. h**l NO IS RIGHT! You can't convince me that the little tough- fight ducker is even the best welterweight right now.

  5. It depends how long that list is. I think he still has a lot more to prove. Especially with the state of the welterweight division right now with the likes of Cotto, Margarito, Quintana, Williams. The welterweight divison is loaded! Much of Floyd's success has been at the lighter weights when he beat the likes of Jose Luis Castillo, Chico Corrales, Phllip N'dou and Demarcus "Chop Chop" Corley. When you look at the level of opposition hes fought at Light Welter and Welter, everyone he fought he was supposed to have beaten. Everyone from Judah to Hatton. Judah has been a roller coaster most of his career. Good one fight sloppy the next. Baldomir was slow and over rated, Floyd was able to pick him appart. De La Hoya is at least a good 8 years past his prime and has lost all of his big time fights (Mosley, Hopkins, Trinidad) and Hatton was way undersized to compete against Floyd. So when you really look at the latter part of "Pretty Boy's" career he hasnt fought anyone that was much of a challenge. I say forget the De La Hoya rematch, which does absolutley nothing to advance the sport and lets see Floyd fight the winner of Cotto and Margarito!

  6. All the other greats made there legacy by fighting the TOP guys in there divison, until floyd does that then maybe.

But he seems to care more about having an 0 on his record.

That is imporant too but what good is that 0 if you ducked and dodged the very best?

  7. I will probably remember his in a negative way, but never as a good boxer.

  8. unless he fights cotto and mosley he will be the fighter that was a great fighter but avoided the big guns

  9. YES!!!! 39 HAVE TRIED AND 39 HAVE FAILED. WHO EVER SAID HATTON IS BETTER IS CRAZY BECAUSE HATTON GOT HISSELF HURT MESSING AROUND. PEOPLE THAT SAY MAYWEATHER IS NOT JUST DONT LIKE HIM BECAUSE HE IS COCKY.... I WATCH IT FOR BOXING NOT TO SEE WHO IS NICE AND POLITE. PEOPLE SAY MAYWEATHER LOST THIS FIGHT REALLY...YEAH RIGHT THATS WHY HE IS 39-0. WHATS THE EXCUSE NOW THE REFS WERE PAID? HAHAHAHAHAHA IF YOU DONT THINK HE IS GET OUTTA HERE.

  10. Oh god no. he we will be top 30 of all time but not in the top 20 or ten.

  11. h**l NO! It would be a joke if people begin saying that he is one of the greatest ever! In his past 4 fights he has only fought for the money and avoided the ALL the top opponents!

  12. Once he beats Miguel Cotto which he wont then we can have that conversation

  13. You either love him or hate him. With his speed and skill I think he's the best right now. In all his fight's I  had  never seen him losing or look beat up. Even when judah hit him with that perfect left hook and sent him to the ropes, he still kept his calm and won the fight. Even when boxers make him fight that's when he's at his best he just go's to another level, just like with hatton.  I still think he needs to fight cotto before he retires to be considered one of the best. Even though a lot of people don't like his style he is  the best technical boxer out there and maybe of all time...........?

  14. HE was a superior fighter, who never could get hit because of is phenomenal defense. And one of the best straight right hand and left check hook.

  15. i don't think so, every time i think of mayweather i remember the Floyd vs Luis Castillo fight, EVERYONE knows Floyd lost that fight, but i guess in boxing every ones get a gift every ones in a while....so in my opinion not at all, i hat his style of boxing (hit n run) and he needs to beat cotto first....

  16. Are you trying to be funny? Castillo kicked Floyd's A$$ the first fight. He has ducked all the top welterweights. Mayweather is very close to being a complete joke!

  17. lets see floyd will be remembered as the guy that never stood toe to toe with anyone. h**l be remembered as the guy that won a controversial decision against castillo. h**l be remembered as a guy that avoided a fight with the than pound for pound king Kostya Tszyu. h**l be remembered for silently opting out of a fight with the slick fighter winky wright. and for running away from de la hoya for 12 rounds....  oh and for almost getting knocked the *** out by demarcus "chop chop" corely
