What do you realize about shy people?

Have you every gotten to know someone who is shy? What do you realize about them? Are your preconceived notions torn away? What's behind their shell?

A lot of my best friends were once shy at first. Ppl usually don't take the time to get to know them, only because it takes more work to get them to open up to you. But once they do they're just like everyone else. I've realized that a lot of shy ppl are REALLY fun once they get to know u. You can make great friends when u make more of an effort.

I think there are many shy people out there; but EVERYONE has their own personality, if that makes any sense. I've had many people I went to high school that were extremely shy and i rarely heard them say a word...but it's so much different once you get to know someone. Once you get to know someone, it's like you uncover so much truth! Sometimes, it's really fun to get to know a shy person because you learn things about them you haven't known for years. Sometimes, they have feelings and input they are hiding and when you discover that, they can make a huge different in someone/your life.

Shyness shows lack of self-confidence.It can easily be overcome.Sometimes ignorance also make people shy.If there is identity-crisis, some feel shy.New places, new situations, new people, new customs etc. make people shy.When familiarity comes, shyness can be overcome.
