What do you really do in aeronautical engineering? espeacially the avionics side?

  1. My brother was a senior avionics engineer for BAe. Although I don't know in detail what he did, his background was in navigation instruments and the like, including satellite, and something called a "heads-up display". He was trained with an apprenticeship by the RAF. I hope this helps. I can't ask him anymore, he died some years ago.


  2. Then you don't want to be an engineer.

    Engineers are all about the detail - if you can't even read a paragraph on Y!A, avionics and engineering is not for you.
