What do you really think about King Da Ka?

OK, let's be clear here. Kingda Ka hurts like a *****. Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point is ten times more reliable and ten times a better ride than Kingda Ka will EVER be. I know a lot of people who think Kingda Ka is SO amazing because it is so tall and so fast. But, if they knew anything about roller coasters, they would know that more speed does not equal crazier and more height does not mean more intense. I have been on plenty of rides at least 100 feet smaller than Kingda Ka and at least 30 MPH slower that are 100 times better. I'm not saying I hate Kingda Ka, because the first time I rode it I waited four and a half hours so I had to make the most of it. And you know what? It kicked ***. I was able to say I've ridden the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world. But after the third time, well it lost it's charm. I've been on it 17 times and I won't wait more than 30 minutes for it. It hurts, it's unreliable, the line is too long, and it's just too short. I just think that the second hill at the end ruins the ride, at least on Top Thrill Dragster, you can savor the speed.

I haven't ridden King Da Ka, but I've been on Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point. I would say my two and a half hour wait was totally worth it! Plus we abused the child swap passes, so I got to ride it twice for the two and a half hour wait. It's such an amazing ride, I just wish the ride was longer!
