What do you reckon are the key challenges that Air lines like British Airways face over the next few years?

thinking of doing some research into this area for a uni project by whats your views - whats the scope - especially in a personnel context - thanks!

Fuel prices will effect all Airlines .. some may be in a better position than others (depending on how much 'hedging' they have done) .. however quite a few are already slapping 'fuel surcharges' on their ticket prices = this will not be popular with customers who have prebooked and will lead to even more business for the likes of 'last mimiute.com' (thereby eroding the airlines own profit margins further)

Other issues will be environmentalist  protests, Government taxation, Security and airport congestion ..
