  1. You gotta look at how you ride the board you're on already.  Does it FEEL too short?  Is it coming out from under you when you really lean in to a carve?  Or does it "skip" on your heal edge?

Are you doing and do you plan on doing a lot of spinning/grinding/boning/popping/etc.?  What are you looking for in your board?

You have to remember that all the guidelines for height/weight/style and board length are just that.... guidelines.  It's completely and totally up to you and what you want out of your board.

I'm 5'9", 190 lbs, and my general "all-season" board is a 155.  I've ridden longer and I've ridden shorter.  there are pros and cons to both, depending on the conditions, the snow itself, the terrain, and what "kind" of riding I'm doing that day.

If the board you're on right now isn't giving you any problems, maybe you should stick with it for you more freestyle type riding, and maybe go all the way up to the 155 for more all-mountain or back-country riding.  You might be disappointed in the very minor difference you will notice between your current board and a 151 if you're looking for some drastic difference.  But if the ride you're on now seems like it might be too short all together, I'd say stepping up to the 151 for your all-purpose ride would probably be your best bet.

    Have a blast!

  2. 155

  3. According to this, http://www.frostyrider.com/tips/size-gui... , you should be getting 151. :)

Well sorry for trying to help.

I'd say the website is pretty accurate though since almost everyone said the 151.

  4. no question, go with the 151, the 155 is way to big, it would feel weird riding a bigger board than you need.  plus it'd be a ton harder to do tricks.

  5. i'd suggest a 151. i'm 5'6 also and mine is a149cm Rome freestyle snowboard. always the smaller the better w/ freestyle snowboards. good luck =]
