What do you ride buses for?

Hi, I'm trying to collect some data for a project regarding what kind of places people take the bus for. For example, some people take the bus to the supermarket, BART stations, shopping malls, etc. Please name your uses. Thanks! [For those of you who are familiar with the AC Transit bus system, please name specifically the kinds of places you travel to. Thanks!]

Well, to save up money on gas. I only spend 20 dollers on gas every month. I don't have to drive to the city i take the train. it only cost me 5 bucks to get to the city.

In New York, most buses run 24-hour with exception of Bee-Line Buses, Long Island Bus, Suffolk County Transit, Transport of Rockland.

For fun.

For example, Tappan Zee Express is part of Transport of Rockland, Rockland Coach version of Coach USA which travel through scenic route along beautiful scenic Tappan Zee Bridge.

Most of Bee-Line bus routes are very scenic with historical area, nature, and wood!

Same reason for Connecticut Transit and Suffolk County Transit buses.

Even the bus that served between NYC & NJ of via NJ from Rockland County has beautiful scenic route.

Another thing, X23 which is Atlantic Express and partnership with MTA, which travel during rush hour is comfortable.

Express bus along with Atlantic Express X23 has comfortable seating.

New York City Transit, MTA Bus, Bee-Line Bus, Suffolk County Transit, New Jersey Transit buses use all kind of bus fleet models manufacturer from different companies.

Buses in NY Area (NY, CT, NJ) has following bennefits:

To school, amusement park, museums.

To point of interest

For going to mall/store in Staten Island (Richmond Coutny), Nassau County, Queens (County), Brooklyn (KIngs County), Suffolk County, Westchester and Rockland Counties, well as lot in New Jersey.

For work.

For airport travel.

Tour buses are fun for tourists and people who visit first time or moving first time is great way to see NY,

For example, Grayline Tour operate Historical Channel Tour in NYC area on old-fashioned style on Trolley Bus or Duck Tour called NY Splash Tour Aquabus with quite splash.

New York University students also enjoy riding their buses with regular city bus shape or trolley bus shape.

For example, M60 bus operated by MTA NYCT are popular busy route because it connect to every subways and buses in Manhattan to Queens with exception of Queens Blvd and Flushing Line subways or Long Island Railroad.

It is also popular because it connected to flight at LaGuardia Airport.

Another busy bus line I know is in MTA Long Island Bus N6 owned by Nassau County Executive.

N6 bus which operates between Hempstead Transit Center and Jamaica, Queens are busy lines 24-hours a day.

N6 bus is most popular route in Long Island Bus because there's always three or four people standing behind the white line because of regular size bus.
