I usually just hold my keys and ID in a little bag when I'm outside, but I'm looking for something that I can attach to my shoe. I've heard of the Nike Shoe Wallet, which I am considering. If you use this, what's your opinion of it?

Are there any other product suggestions? Is there something I can buy at a major retailer like Wal-Mart or Target?

I prefer to stay away from things you wear around your waist or wrist, but if you have a really good suggestion, post it here!

  1. I usually run with a hydration pack. It's like a backpack but a lot smaller. You could pack your ID and keys in it instead of making a lot of noise while you run. Also, there's a pouch for water inside so you could take a drink even when you're running. Even with the water pouch, it is not heavy at all and there are chest straps so they don't bounce off of you when you're running. I never used the thing that attaches to your shoes because space is limited and they usually aren't that strong so they could fly off at any time. You can find it in the Sports and Outdoors section in any major retailer.

  2. Many brands of running shorts often have a little 'fob' pocket in them.  My Nike shorts have it at the back, in line with the tail bone and just under the elastic of the shorts.  I have also used two safety pins and put them through my house key and attached them to shorts before.  How much do you want to carry when you run?

  3. i might suggest a carabeaner (a clip used in climbing) but considering you dont want to wear anything on your waist mabey a simple wallet and bring only the keys you need (I.e your hosue key)  and put that in your wallet

i wouldnt trust anything that attaches to shoes seeing as they go hroguh some serious wear and tear and you dont watch your feet as you run, so if it gets caught on something or rips you might not notice

  4. Some running jackets and shorts have special pockets (my Brooks jacket has one) just for keys, phone, etc. Another thing people do is tie their keys into their shoelaces. As a last resort, you could slip your ID in your shoe.

  5. Here's a suggestion for a cell phone, go to this website:

I found out about this company at a running expo before a big race.  They make simple cell phone holders that can strap onto your wrist.  I used mine for long (over several hours) runs when I was by myself.  I like that it's around your wrist and not your arm, there is less of a chance for it to move around.
