  2. As a matter of fact it would be best to visit IslamChat.com for the details.

In brief, I can tell you that: Sala'at is about praising God & asking for His forgiveness, help, mercy & whatever purpose you have to offer prayer (sala'at).

God answer your prayer when observed with devotion & you pretend or suppose that you are standing in front of God All-mighty.

    In congregations:

After reciting 'intentions to pray' you stand still & silent with the rest of the people. Only the 'Imam' (prayer leader) recites Verses from Holy Koran.

When the congregation 'bows' you have to recite: Subhan'a Rab'bi Al-Azeem (Praise belongs my Lord who is All-pure)

While again standing, Imam says: 'Sami Allah'o Le man Hami'da' (My Lord listens to my praising)

When stood again after bowing, you say: 'Rabba'na Lakal Hamd' (Praise belongs to my Lord)

When in prostration (saj'da), you say: 'Subhan'a Rab'bi Al A'ala (My Lord is the Most High)

In seated position, in the middle or at the end of the prayers, you recite a prayer, Darood'e Ibrahim'e, and then again pray to God.

In last, you say Sa'lam to you Guardian Angels to your Right & to your left.

  3. A very good online resourse is www.chatislam.com  It's an online classroom that holds lectures.  Some lectures are recorded and you can just watch.  Others are live, and you can have the opportunity to ask your own questions after the lectures.

Salat varies, depending on the time of day.  Prior to Salat you will need to do perform wudhu (ablution) which is a cleansing ritual.  It takes, usually, all of a minute to do.  You will be need to be in a state of cleanliness in order to do the Salat.  As long as you don't lose your wudhu (through urination, passing gas etc) you will be considered clean for the next Salat.  For more details, I'd look for a good reference text on Salat specifically or Islam in general.

There are 5 Salats that you will need to do each day.  Depending on where you live, the exact time spans will vary.  One is the early morning prayer (before sunrise).  The mid-day prayer, the afternoon prayer, the evening prayer and the night prayer.  In Arabic, they are named Fajr, Zuhur, Asar, Maghrib and Isya'.  Zuhur, Asar and Isya' have four rakaats.  Each rakaat has the same basic moves with some variation, depending on which rakaat you are on.  Fajr has two rakaats and Maghrib has three.

When I first became a Muslim, I knew I had to be balanced and patient, and I did not stress myself out with doing all five each day.  I did start off doing one or two and then eventually added more prayer sessions until I could comfortably do all five daily.  Now it's easy for me.  Don't worry too much.  God can read your heart and He knows and sees your efforts.

As a previous person wrote, it would be good for you to see a video on salat.  When I first started learning, I did not have a video, but I did have a book with a step by step guide.  Perhaps having both would help you.  Going to a Masjid will help.  And just tell the people there that you need help.  I can assure you that there will be people who are more than happy to be of assistance to you.  Nothing is more pleasurable than helping someone to gain knowledge and appreciation for their faith.  It reminds us of our own happiness and wonder when we first started learning too.
