And every week after this until those jerks at the big oil companies get the price back down to $1.50 a gallon for regular. And while we are at it, let's not vote for any of the Presidential candidates that don't fully support us in our effort. If that still fails to get the price down to our target range then we could also, stay at home on the weekends for awhile and not purchase fuel on Saturday or Sunday either. Well, are you with me?

  1. boycott company would be smarter but you would have to know everything they make and not buy any of it.... and you couldnt just do it a day or too but months or a year might do it

  2. That's what I have been saying for some time now, if we boycott one oil company for 1 month, it will work because they will have to lower there prices to make room for the inventory coming in,Lets say company A is selling gas and company B is not, then company B will lower there price to beat company A price, then there are price wars between company A and B... Lets just say we try for June 1st for the boycott.

  3. They will still raise the price no matter what . If you buy less the $ goes up so they still make their $ on all the nonboycotters. Sorry got to get to work so I can pay for gasoline.

  4. Because then your just going to purchase the same amount of gas on the other days that you would have purchased on those days, your really making the individual owners of the gas stations pay for the prices which were not set by them...the only way to boycott is to completely boycott.

For these reasons, I am not with you.

  5. Better idea!, everyone just stay home for 2 weeks and don't go anywhere, not even to work and see what happens when the goverment doesn't get any taxes for 2 weeks and no gas is sold, I'm sure everyone will stick together on this idea.

  6. It doesn't work. Anyway, you can blame the Democrats on this one. They've made it impossible to drill for more oil here, and financially impossible to build more refineries. This would saturate the market and drive prices down. The oil companies have adapted to these constraints, but can only produced the oil that they can buy. Our need has outgrown the ability to produce.
