What do you say when people say, "Where are you from?"?

When people say that I dont know what to say.

Can you help me?

Ok.

I was born in Salinas,Ca lived there for a year.

Then move to Emeryville,Ca and lived there for like 4 months.

Then moved to Oakland,Ca and lived there for like 2 months.

Then I moved to Hayward,Ca and lived there for 11 years.

now I live in Oaklans,Ca again and I've been here for like 6 months.

So where em I from?

Is it the place where we are born?

I say where I was born and then where I live.....like I was born in Salinas, Ca but I currently live in Oaklans, Ca.

I too moved around and lived many places in my lifetime

I'd say you're from Oaklands, but were born in Salinas. So if asked the answer would be "I'm from Oaklands, but was born in Salinas".

yh ive moved about loads and i always say the place where i was born even if i only lived there for 5 yrs .... or just say the place where you think people would most look up to you for lol

I was born in Sinapore, then moved to Malaysia, then England, then the US. When peple ask wher I'm from, I ask if they want the truth or the lie. They usually pick the truth, so I tell them about my life.
