I know sometimes you say the pleasure is all mine, what else can you possibly say... I am meeting my husband's father's side for the first time at his cousin's wedding. I don't want to sound like a broken record saying nice to meet you a million times. Any suggestions.

  2. In this case being that you are meeting your husbands family for the first time.  You will most probably be introduced to them.  When you are introduced you can respond in several ways.

If there are several people at one time you can say "hi, or hello.  Possibly there will be a little chit chat, then when it is done you may say "It is so delightful to meet you".  You may do this with a single introduction to.

Other suggestions depending on the circumstances at the time. I am so glad to have had this opportunity to have met you.

It's great to fnally meet my husbands family.

I have been looking foward to this event so that I can get to know my husbands family.

I am sure you get the jist of what I am trying to bring out.  Just use your common sense, and all will work out.

  3. "Nice to meet you, *name of person*" is perfectly OK in such a setting.  You will not sound like a broken record.  Of course you could just shake hands and say "Hello *name of person*".
