What do you see are the major problems or issues facing the new President in 2009?

I would guess that his highest priorities might be:

1. His first role as Commander In Chief would be to appoint competent people to all the appropriate offices. It's always wiser to delegate than to micro-manage.

2. The war against terror. Whether to stay or pull out.

3. The economy.

4. Whether or not to drill for oil and stop funding terrorism.

I certainly would not want to be in his shoes. These, and many others, are such tough decisions.

I just pray that whomever is elected is wise, fair and loves our Country.

A deeply divided country full of complainers and malcontents.

Hundreds of thousands of people demanding a free ride. Working people getting sick of pushing the bus.

The war with Iran, oil prices, and the war with Venezuela.

To help end the war in Iraq gradually , to deal with the problem of Fannie Mae Federal, Freddie Mac Federal, Handy Mac which has failed and the other ninety banks that are in are in trouble. Then to deal with oil crisis and the escalating unemployment. There must be forms of alternative forms of energy that we are talking amount. We must mandate that these form of alternative energy shall be found.  Be these from grants from the government to make the major oil and gas owners be required to form an immediate forms of alternative forms of energy. This is a crisis situation and it must be treated as crisis situation.
