Tiger Woods has been said to be one of the greatest golfers (if not the greatest) of all time.

Some even say he is a genius or maestro in golf, despite his display of minor hiccups from time to time. What are his special strengths that you could lay down as being contributory to his phenomenal success thus far?

  1. he has the most determination out of anybody that has ever lived. He also has more drive and will than anybody out there, which is why he always makes the clutch putt because he "wills" it in the hole. He also has the best short game and touch the worlds ever seen. CLUTCH PUTTER AS WELL

  2. Like Alisder said.  As phenominal as his physical game is, he's probably mentally the toughest golfer on tour today if not ever.  Every time he plays a tournament he wills himself to win.

  3. Tiger is phenomenal. He is soooo good!

And I am a South African where we have our own Els.

What makes Tiger great, I believe is his dedication. He wants to be the best golf player - his dream from early age.

He is not in it solely for the money like most of golfers.

He is focused on the "job". He goes into the zone as they say.

He is fit and looks after his body.

These are the things that make him good, not the swing or technique or club. Most golfers on the pro circuit have that.

Tiger will be great for a long time to come!

  4. Mental superiority, incredible strength and fitness levels, very flexible, great understanding of the golf  swing and ability to physically carry out, extreme work ethic, unbelievable self confidence, one of the best putters on tour,

great short game, great iron game, powerful enough that he can keep the driver in the bag and hit 2 iron, 3 or 5 wood off the tee and not be at a disadvantage.

  5. I live in the Nashville area, which is just a few hours away from Atlanta.  Last year for my birthday my wife bought us tickets to the Saturday round of the Tour Championship at East Lake.

Since it was my first PGA event to attend, we got there as early as possible so that we could take it all it.  The first group teed off at 11:00 that morning.  We got there at 10:30, when they opened the gates to the public.  Tiger was already on the putting green and reportedly had been there for 30-40 minutes already.  He stayed there for 20 minutes more and then went to the driving range, where he worked until it was time for him to tee off, close to 2:20 that afternoon.  When he finished his round, he went to the scorers tent and then to the press room.  He was back on the range as soon as he was finished and was still working when we left the course.  He was back out at 5:00 AM the next morning.

It's been said that on the PGA tour, no one works harder than Tiger Woods, which is what ultimately leads to his success.  It comes from years of preparation and a work ethic that is second to none.  He's at or near the top in every aspect of the game, and it all boils down to his practice habits.  The guy wants it more than anyone else - and that hunger is a driving force.

  6. See Tiger's bio...what is his strenght??? First is his talent,  then since he was a kids he is hardworker, have good dicipline, good mental and also luck..  Please note, luck also part of the game...

The other things that many people forget, his father found his talent since he was a little kids and brought him to a correct way...  So, his family support him since he was a kid... that also his strenght...

I read, that tiger will do practices for hours / days / weeks / months just to get little improvement in his game.

  7. His swing is flawless; his focus is matchless; his competitiveness is unrivaled.  Other than that, he's just an ordinary guy.

  8. He has the will to win!  He wants to win EVERYTHING and beat EVERYBODY!

  9. what can i say  i like his technique in swing, and hes got skill.

  10. He was groomed to be a golfer since he was big enough to walk.  I think the difference is years of practice - some things just become intuitive after enough experience. He knows what will work and what will not.

  11. He's magic.
