What do you see when you look at the moon?

you konw how it has those dark patches (craters) and stuff?

well i can see 2 different views of a womans face, and a rabbit that looks like its cooking....

what do you see?

Since July of 1969, I haven't been able to look at the moon without seeing bootprints, at least in my mind's eye.

ME TOOOO!! me 2 ... i can see a rabbit and a women... sometimes  can see 2 eyes stare at me!!!

I see an intresting world that one day we could develop and utilize for the good of us all. And no I just don't see these "faces", I just see amazing terrain.

There are literally thousands of interpretations of the visual appearance of the Moon.

Throughout the ages the interpretations of this appearance have played a great role in the foundation Myths and religious believes of many cultures around the world.

In our western civilization many references to the  moon still in use today are remnants of belief systems of our own ancient cults and religions.

Your personal interpretation of the moon's appearance is just as valid as any other.

Who knows, if you were a Tribal Chief or Shaman a couple of thousand years ago, There may have been a cult whose adherents believed that the moon showed how the earth-mother sacrificed the rabbit to confer it's powers of fruitfulness to humankind.

There are lots of creation myths of this type to be found in antiquity.

So, if that's what you see, who's to tell you you're wrong??

As much as I would love to be as creative as you, I'm not. I only see craters. Just goes to show, I'm not very creative. :(

well lto my family they say it looks like a rabbit pouring water over a fire!

and i can see a face of a woman and it looks like she is singing!

her face kinda looks like betty from the comic strip with Betty and Veronica and Archie.. i forget what its called.

but thats what i see!
