This year is my 16th birthday. I won't say we're rich but we're in the upper middle class. Anyway. I have a high GPA and I love and respect my family but I don't feel like I deserve any of this.

Last night they presented me with my first diamond ring and said it's part one of three (all jewelry).

This is the ring :http://s296.photobucket.com/albums/mm198/vintaygemessayge/?action=view&current=IMG_1173.jpg it's not the best picture but you can see it.

I told them to return it that it wasnt worth it but they inisited I keep it. And I told them that I don't think I deserve it and they told me I'm under estimating myself.

Today my dad told me that one of the other gifts he bought the day he found out my mom was pregnant with a girl.

Anyway, would you say I'm spoiled?

  1. No you are not spoiled. Your parents are just so romantic. they are so happy the have you and your dad were so happy he wanted to do something nice to your mom. they wished you luck.

  2. I wouldn't say spoiled, but your parents probably think this is a very important occasion, and it's their special way of celebrating it with you.

Your humbleness amazes me, you seem so nice, I don't think you're spoiled at all.

  3. No you are not spoiled.  Your parents just spoil you that's all.

If you were spoiled you would have kicked and screamed and cried and thrown a baby-like tantrum to get that diamond ring that you want (and naturally you want it that very millisecond).  So you are not spoiled.  You just realize how lucky you are to have parents who love you and care for you, and you are grateful for their love and support.

  4. Happy Belated Birthday!

I think that ring is gorgeous and all girls deserve something extra special on their 16th birthday!

I would not say you're spoiled because so many girls on their 16th birthday get much more, uunnecessarythings!

Enjoy that ring! It's gorgeus and you only turn 16 once!

  5. No.

As long as you're grateful for the things you have and not always wanting/expecting more than you have/get, you're not spoiled.

Just be happy you have a family who obviously loves you very much and wants to see you happy.

It's a really pretty ring, by the way. Wear it and always remember what it means to you and your family.

  6. attention w***e!!

  7. *cough* show off *cough*

  8. if u dont want it i do

  9. Listen to me, you're a teenage girl. You got a diamond ring why the f--k are are you questioning it. You do deserve it and you should keep it and everytime you look at your hand remember the night, or the day they gave it to you. And if you don't want it let me know, I'll take it.

  10. obviously DUH....look at all the diamonds? if those are real then yes yer spoiled and if they arent then obviously your parents dont love you enough to buy you real ones.

  11. No I wouldn't say YOUR spoiled, though your parents are spoiling you a bit. But I think that the ring is beautiful and you should keep it as a gift. Keeping it won't make you spoiled, I think you do deserve it.

  12. I wouldn't say you are spoiled based on one ring, as nice as it may be. I don't know, you could be spoiled, but would not say it based on just this alone. You should definitely count your blessings though, and be grateful. Make sure you continue to give them all the love and respect you have been, and keep up with the good grades, etc. Obviously they really appreciate the person you are turning into and want to reward you.

  13. no i don't think you're spoiled, i think you are looking for attention

  17. i don't think your spoiled. i think your truly grateful. but i do think your parents spoil you tho & i like your ring. & congrats on the new baby sister.
