I think maybe he should go for the "Acid Rain" scare that some scientists used twenty years ago. How did that turn out anyway....oh yea it turned out to be false as well.

Most of the information the average "Joe" gets is already digested. My biggest discrepancy are the ratios of man-made to natural variability. You plug in the error of margin and the factors for man made influence become almost nil. I did watch a Doc about one Meteorologist that develop his own models and tracking system for Hurricanes using modified equipment. Definitely not a Dummy or a fool.

Pretty funny.  Calculus has been a "big thing" for engineers for a couple of hundred years.
