  1. I think it's a little late to prevent a recession. I wish I knew what we had to do to ameliorate the one we're in.

    I read a quote in an article (i forget which) that we're currently in the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression.


  2. A recession is inevitable at some point. Don't know for sure whether this is that point or not. Recessions are not bad. Recessions are essentially about deleveraging after a boom that is not sustainable. A little like dealing with a pressure cooker. You have to let the steam out to get to the food. You can do it fast or very slowly, but you can't just let it build forever.

  3. You can't prevent recessions; you can only make them less worse.

    Recessions will always occur because no matter how much any entity (government) interferes they are (1) Human, so will use flawed judgments and (2) You can not stop business cycles.
