School is supposed to prepare you for life. Most jobs have a dress code too!

My dad spent his days in workboots, jeans, hardhat, and a company shirt as an electrician.

As a teacher, i can't wear sneakers in class & usually I wear a tie.

professionals wear what is appropriate-you should too!

Your dress code also is about safety. There are certain things that thugs and gangsters wear that could get you into a fight or worse!

Most schools have dress codes for just your safety and propriety (non distracting) attire.

I agree with a compulsory dress code. It eliminates the urge for students to be in competition for having the 'coolest' clothes it also creates a sense of community amongst the students and makes them easily recognisable.

Dress codes don't have to consist of blazers and neatly pressed grey pants at my school it was the school polo tee shirt and navy blue pants.

According to me dress code should be compulsory at places like school, colleges, work places, etc. As it brings discipline in a person & respect.
