Oh yea I dont think, I know (homosexuality is wrong). Man to Man is unjust, also woman to woman is unjust. God made Adam to be with Eve NOT Steve.

  1. I don't believe any cahnge will occure.people from canada will still travel to Jamaica, even if there is a boycott.

  2. These particular people are being plain STUPID and ARROGANT. Just because Jamaica is the poorest and most fragile country on your anti-g*y totem pole, doesnt mean you can force your wishes on us. They seem to think that we will panic and 'bow'. Dream on. It will NEVER happen that way.

Jamaica is a society with its own values. How fair would it be if we threatened to put all g**s in Jamaica out of employment until the international counterparts withdrew their demand?

My suggestion is that those g**s gain a real understanding of what Jamaica is like and stop listening to the lies of people trying to con their way into refugee status.

    EDIT:

The persons advocating the boycott are using MEANS/METHODS that are wrong regardless of what they were trying to achieve. Thats the kind arrogant attitudes that has caused wars throughout history.

    WEBANGEL:

what many people dont seem to understand is that its not "the g*y way or the highway" when it come to this particular issue. It seems black and white only until you read the evidene being put forward. To an extent, they can only get away with the things they say because no jamaican with power is willing to speakup and show them to be LIARS. They told LIES on dancehall music, deliberately misqouting song lyrics, deliberately giving peopel the impression that Jamaicans will 'burn homosexuals', even though they knew fully well that EVERY artiste who 'burns a fire' in the dancehall is about a figurative fire...not literal one. Its no more violent than Pope speaking of 'a fire that can cleansthe soul'.

The difference now? Now they want to move against the Tourism product using more lies. If the government had objected from years ago, they wouldnt be facing such a challenge now.

The real solution is to RESPOND. Bring the truth to light. Do you really think public displays of affection are okay in all the places in USA & Canada? h**l no. SO why do you think they want to destroy Jamaicas product? Why not pick on a mafia-run city and see what happens?

  3. Human Rights people outside Jamaica don't generally have rights in Jamaica. They can only try to lobby for g**s, however they've been doing this for years now and no change. So I doubt any change might take place.

Also the STAR is sort of like a tabloid mag.

  4. i think its the first move in many moves to come and it will be interesting to see how we respond being so dependent on imports.  I think it will move from tourism boycott to stop trade with countries that are not compliant... we will have to change

    or stop eat rice  :)

  5. Its not going to happen, tourist will still come and even the g*y folks will still come to ja. So it is not going to happen, so give up now.

  6. if jamaica doesnt lik g**s its w/e its ALWAYS been lik dat. i see ppl leave jamaica fraid for them life because there scared. If u got a problem wit it dont com to jamaica. if ur g*y dont com to jamaica they will jus done u and go bout there buissness most of jamaica is christian or rasta and none of dem like g**s. God didnt make adam and steve so dont conplain bout it. jus stay far frm ja if ur g*y

  7. Sorry but we don't need immoral pollution in Jamaica our children are extremely important to us.

Its better to have moral values and dignity and die of hunger, than to be a well fed, wealthy, low life shhhttt monger

Our beautiful island will never be another Sodom and Gomorrah

For those 'weak hearts' crying already over the tourist dollar,it's the beauty of our people, culture, music, food, festivities and our island that entice the tourist to come here. not g**s parading, they already have that in their land,

Go and be productive, build on the beauty of our country,

yuh too quick fi bow, weh yuh bakbone deh

    tan up strate lakka man.

    Bob Marley,

chase those crazy bald heads out of town

    Gagamel

    Boom bye bye .............

  8. Jamaica has already responded and has repectfully declined to consider repealing the buggery laws.  Tourist will still come even g*y people

    K

  9. I don't see these people demanding anything except that homosexuals be treated as the human beings they are.  To say they are brash and bold leaves me flabbergasted as I'd expect that everyone would want to be extended the same courtesies within their own country and when they travel to another.  Then again maybe it's just me......

It's amazing how short-sighted Jamaicans are.  To all those people who say it won't affect our tourism...just wait and see. This is just one of the many drips that are eating away at our second major earner of foreign exchange, which many seem to think is as solid as a rock.

With the US economy in the doldrums, we had better start looking to Cananda, the EU and Asia if we want to ensure that our citizens can afford to buy food or we'll soon be living off mud pies like the Hatians.

We like to say things like "Well if dem nuh like how wi stay dem cyaan nuh come yah den."  Really?!  Do we really want that?  Do we really think that it is only homosexuals who will boycott Jamiaca as a result?  But, of course, we don't think about the reprecussions of that kind of attitude.  We feel good that we are standing our "ground," which in of itself is no ground really because it based on pure hypocrisy.  We put sooo much energy into "bunning" homosexuals in Jamaica while all other aspects of your society plummet downhill without us so much as blink an eye.  Wi seriously need fi stap and tek check and staat focus pon wah really important cause right now wi waay aff mark.

    ***EDIT***

stingjam....what exactly is the "g*y way"?  Is it really too much to ask Jamaicans to respect the fact that people can love whomever they want and should be able to do without fear of being beaten to death?  Can you tell me, based on this article, which of their requests do you find unreasonable?

I can't believe you wrote with about people "misquoting dancehall lyrics" with a straight face.  Are you kidding me?  Do I have to name the songs to you??  There's absolutely no need to misquote anything, most of the anti-g*y lyrics nowadays don't even need interpreting, they are as plain as day.

Don't-f*...so despite the corruption in all areas of our society, rape of children and murders of just about everyone we remain morally upright and diginified so long as we are against homosexuality? LOL Yeah, of course....... DWL

  10. I don't condone violence or discrimination, but if I was g*y, I wouldn't want to visit a place that was known to have open, anti- g*y sentiment.
