Do you think that the study of dialects has a lot to do with sociology? Can it be considered something that relates to sociology? I've decided to do write about various dialects around the world and how they originated for a sociology paper. What do you think?

I guess it could be sociology depending which angle you take it from. It could also fall into the history category, so make sure you stick to stuff that is related to sociology - like how it is their identity not how the dialects came about.

I think that would be an excellent to write about he different dialects around the world. Dialogs certainly does have a lot to do with sociology. it is in the same category as culture diversity.
