What do you think I should do for a living, Meteorology or Journalist?

  1. I believe you will be more employable as a journalist, although the pay can be pretty low. That's a bit more widely sought after though, while Meteorology is pretty specialized and there are probably limited openings in such a specialized market.

  2. I think that no matter what. There will always be weather, and there will always be news. I think both can be very fascinating careers. And sometimes, both tend to be unreliable.

    I personally think there is more opportunities in journalism. Such as traveling and writing great news stories. Knowing what the weather is going to be isn't as exiting. But who knows...maybe someday you will invent a machine that can detect hurricanes weeks before they happen, or earthquakes. =)

  3. Hmmm. . . my granddaughter wants to be a meteorologist.  Since she's really excellent in math and science that would be a good match for her.  My degree was in public relations, and the course offered several journalism classes.  Since math is not forte, I decided on public relations.  It was the best of two worlds for me because it was valuable in my career.
