First of all, I am not a book person. I rarely read books, magazines, I just don't like reading that much. But my bro once bought me The Chronicles of Narnia and I loved it. I really love fantasy stories like Narnia. Stories with kingdoms, mythical beasts and creatures (I really love Griffins), stories that are out of this world. I tried looking for such book, but once I got to the bookstore, I got confused and afraid I'm gonna get disappointed if the book doesn't turn out as I expected. So, what do you think I should read?

Thank you arigatou...!!

  1. Harry Potter,The Lord Of The Rings

  2. The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia Wrede. The series consists of four novels:

    1. Dealing with Dragons

    2. Searching for Dragons

    3. Calling on Dragons

    4. Talking with Dragons

The books are fantasy, with good adventure and plenty of humor. I read the series again about every two years. Most of the people I've recommended the series to have enjoyed it. I know it's a good series for young people because I was student teaching in an 8th grade class when I discovered it. Some of the students recommended it.

  3. Fantasy - - Have you read any of the Harry Potter books? How about Lord of the Rings? Or Christopher Paolini's Eragon or Eldest..

    Those are just for starters.

If you like books with vampires: read Stephanie Meyer's Twilight saga

There are lots of books out there.... umm I am a book person, but I read mostly romance... have you tried Meg Cabot's books.... two of her series are paranormal/ fantasy.

Tamora Pierce is a fantasy author as well... she has some awesome books. Let me know if you need any other suggestions

  4. Try Terry Brooks...Magic Kingdom. I found it to be a great book and its a series also.

  5. Check out the City of bones trilogy.

But if you want more books get an amazon account and put books you like in your wish list and then go to the Recommendations on the top of the screen. They usaully have some really good books that are like the other books you've allready checked out.

    And also try twilight.

It might not be your type of book but i know a lot of people with different interests in books that read it and fell in love with it.

  6. The Invention of Hugo Cabret.

You might not be able to find it, but if you can, you're in for a good read.

  7. You sound like my brother and he likes Piers Anthony books.

Also, I joined a book group on Yahoo, just to get ideas on books I might like.  I have gotten dozens of great reads from the suggestions of others. Just an idea so the next time you go to get a book it won't be so overwhelming.

  8. You should read Percy and the Olympians.

  9. Joanne Bertin's The Last Dragonlord is very much like the Chronicles of Narnia in that it is set in a different world with several distinct kingdoms and is filled with magical creatures (the most important of which are dragons :)

She's a great author!  Hope you enjoy her!
