My uncle wants to name his daughter Chelestina. (Chell-uh-steen-uh)

I think it's horrible! She would be Chelie for short.

It sounds like a mixture of Chelsea and Celeste and Christina. So just choose one!

  1. It's...interesting, but Celeste would be prettier.

  2. I agree. That does sound horrible. You would make a fine mother.

  3. Don't worry about what other people say.

I agree with you that Chelestina is horrible! Show this post to your uncle and maybe he'll change his mind.

  4. umm no!! lol!! I think Chelsie is better but you might wanna see what she looks like first!! and if its ur baby why does ur uncle care?? Do what you want!

    check out youtube.com/crelly86 AND COMMENT!!

  5. Oh boy. It sounds like he threw Chelsea, Tina, and Christina into a blender and that's what he came up with. The names on their OWN are so pretty - why make some combination with it?

  6. It's not horrible at least its not shithead (s**+-tead), lol that's not even a joke.

  7. First of all, it amazes me that the people on here can be so rude, and ignorant. The first line states, "My uncle wants to name his daughter" HIS DAUGHTER! that should have been everyone's first clue that your not a mother. Secondly, to all the people answering this question so rudely, you all are the same ones who give your sympathy to the fake pregnant 13-year-olds....get a life! Everyone on Yahoo! has a fair shot to ask appropriate questions, seeing as this question is definetly not un-appropriate, why don't you all just cool it! If you think she will be a bad mother, email her, don't call her out on a question just so you will get two points.

Finally, to answer your question, it does seem like a pretty awful name. Personally, I like Chelsia, see what he thinks of that one! Good luck and God Bless.

  8. I don't think its that awful.  I mean, its different, but its his baby and he can name her whatever he chooses.  Don't get your panties in such a bunch over something you have no control over.  Have you considered the possibility that the name has very special meaning to him and his wife and they both really adore the name?

  9. Hmmm.... maybe just pick on of the names, and maybe another could be a middle name

  10. It sounds unique to me, I don't really mind it : )

  11. eww k~ I dont like that name at all!

  12. I agree, It's a bit too much. But I guess it could be lovely if the kids is confident enough to pull it off!

  13. Its a horrible name. Are you sure hes not joking?? Its that bad! At this point ANYTHING would be better!

  14. it is yucky! LOL Chelie is kinda cute though =P

  15. I have no clue as to why people thought YOU were having the baby, I mean, come on - you said your uncle was naming HIS daughter. Hello, people?! Anyhow, I'm with you on this one. When I say the name aloud, including the nickname, I think of 'chello,' the intrument, which is not cute one bit. However, what's worse than that is...when I say the nickname aloud, I also think of 'jelly.' Ick! This name sounds FAR TOO contrived, really - and it's not flattering for a little girl, nor for an infant. Everyone that hears the name will say something, and  far more often than not, it will be negative - without a doubt. This may not be up to you, but you are family, so your uncle should at least care enough about your perspective to make an effort to reconsider. If he and his wife would like a contrived name, perhaps they could try again - it really couldn't hurt, could it? Forgive me for forgetting...congratulations to your family! Lastly, I'm more than certain you'll be a great mother some day. :^]

  16. I think it sounds really cool noone else will have that name it's very unique

  17. sounds like a breakfast cereal. i don't know why though. it was just my first thought LOL

  18. Not what I would pick but it's up to them.

Folks on here are getting very worked up.  To accuse someone of being a bad mom is very assumptive and very wrong.

It was only a question of opinion of the name, not for an opinion on the person who asked the question.

    Lighten up.

  19. It doesn't seem that nice, no.  Chelsea ! ! !

  20. Sounds like that fairytale...
