What do you think? Is 16.64/hour, full time decent for this position?

I also have 180 hours PTO a year and total health coverage benefits. I work at a group home for people with developmental disabilities in So. California. I am a 32 year old married female with a Bachelor's degree and 5 years experience in the field. The 2 previous years my raises have been 7%, this past week, I got my three year review and got a 4%! Does this sound like okay compensation for this type of work? Or am I getting shafted...

  1. sounds decent to me

  2. You really have to research your field to find out if you're getting paid decently. But with a bachelor's degree, I would want to get paid $20+ /hour. $16 seems a bit low for a college graduate.

  3. shafted but the job market is c**p right now :-(

  4. You are making more than me! Think about how the economy is right now, you are lucky to have a job as there are many people out of work. But if you are unhappy look somewhere else and see what they are getting paid. Good Luck!

  5. You are definitely getting shafted, come on I worked for FedEx with only a high school Diploma & was making close to $18.00. I know you can find better employment that suits your experince & education. Good Luck on your Future Endeavors
