So this is why I ask, I didn't get into any of the schools I wanted to get in. My mom says I can either be home schooled or go to a baptist school. My dad works a t the baptist church part time. But if I wanted to go to the baptist school my dad will have to become a FULL time member, which means having him give up all of his Sunday. So which one would you choose?

  1. PUBLIC SCHOOL!

  2. What are your reasons for not wanting to go to a public school?   Those same reasons will probably apply to going to  a private school.

    I would  choose home school.

  3. I would choose homeschool, because I think there are more opportunities availble homeschooling than in traditional school.  Also, if you aren't a Baptist, it may be annoying to be so involved in a school that is comprised of Baptists with their teachings.

    Good luck :D

  4. why would your dad have to give up his whole sunday?  Church normally only goes for 1hour to 1.5 hours and then maybe tea and coffee afterwards and why would your dad have to become a FULL  member just because you want to go that school?

Home schooling can be awfully lonely and you have to be dedicated to the work and you dont get see other peers your own age and it is easier to get side tracked and make up excuses not to do your work now because there is good show on TV or you are tired and need to sleep or your firends are on yahoo or whatever.

at school you get to hang out with ppl your own age, you get different points of view on a whole range of topics, you have to study or you dont pass the subjects.  Also some universities or colleges dont accept home school certificates so it is harder to go there.

I would choose normal schooling any day of the week especially after soing correspondence and school of the air for 18 months when I was younger.

  5. This depends on what works best for you and your family.  Only your dad can make the decision about becoming a full time member of the church.  Don't take on the responsibility for that decision.  Be well.
