I've had a horrible cough for over a week now. It all started with a sore throat and my ears felt stuffed. My sore throat went away, my ears drained, and I could feel it all draining down my throat. Now, I've had this cough for over a week and I am really hoarse. I wake up every morning (for the past 3 mornings now) unable to talk at all. All that comes out is squeaks and air. My cough is dry and hacking. There's no sputum production or anything. From coughing so much, my throat is starting to hurt again and my chest is really sore. I don't really have much of a runny nose or anything. And I've been sneezing off and on. I talked to the pharmacist that I know and she said that pneumonia and bronchitis are going around in our area. So, do you think it could be one of those?? If so, do I need to go to the doctor? Or is there something else I can use to help? If not, do you think it's just a really bad cold that I can't get over? Or something entirely different? Thanks for the answers in advance!
