What do you think Jesus would think of Christians who spread vicious lies about Barack Obama?

    Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

    Seems pretty straightforward to me, whomever it may be about.


  2. I don't Jesus, had he ever existed, would think very highly of any christians these days...

  4. He'd forgive them....anytime the question involves the words, "what would Jesus do" the answer is always forgive.

    What most of these liars fail to see are the similarities between their Jesus and Obama.  If Jesus really was a real man and his lineage stated in the bible is accurate, then both are of African descent and both were liberals.  

    Please don't call me an Obama worshipper, I'm nothing of the sort.  I don't worship Jesus or Obama, just stating two facts.

Jesus traveled through the countryside for a couple of  years with his little band of merrie men, teaching, healing the sick, performing miracles, etc.  He dealt with sin, human failings, even disbelief, without ever losing his cool.  In fact if you read between the lines, he even seemed to have a sense of humor.  I can see him smiling a lot.

    Well then he came to Jerusalem where he was simply shocked, outraged, at the corruption of the leaders of his own religion.  He lost his temper.  He denounced them in the strongest language.  He made a scene.  And it was that disturbance that made them want him put out of the way.

    If Jesus came back today, the same Jesus, I think he would be just as angry with the corruption of contemporary American Christian leaders.  Like the Pharisees, they have sold out to secular political power for their own self-aggrandizement, their own wealth and power.

    Sadly, Jesus is no longer the boss.  The new rule is: If you disagree with someone or even just don't like him, then it's okay to just make up whatever bad things you can think of, and repeat them over and over.  

    This incredible hypocrisy is the biggest thing discrediting Christianity today.

  15. I doubt He'd be too pleased.  Actually, I don't think He'd be very happy with a lot of stuff that some Christians do.

  20. What type of lies are you talking about? If it is his stand against the babies of the womb, then that is not a lie.

  21. he is disappointed but he is never angry with us. Jesus wants us to treat all beings with respect and kindness no matter what or who they are. nobody deserves the h**l that some people put others through.

  22. Well of course Jesus doesn't want us to lie.  The funny thing is we don't have to since the truth about Obama is disturbing enough.  

  23. The most pernicious lie about Obama is the persistant claim that he is really Muslim , with the implication that he secretly supports terrorism.

    In fact, he is an evangelical Christian who speaks openly about having accepted Christ. (he did so in his famous racism speech, for example.)

    Some Christians who disagree with his politics continue to spread these rumors in order to discredit him. In doing so, they are discrediting the power of God to bring about conversion. I would think Jesus will have some words with them when they finally meet him face to face.

  30. What vicious lies? Specify. I don't hear anyone lying about the truths they speak of your beloved wanna be president. I honestly hope someone carries out thier assassination of the flotsam. Do I hate him, God forgive me, but yes I do! I'm a democrat and I'm voting Republican. Sucks don't it?!
