I don't think they should even think about topping the Beijing opening ceremony.  As a London taxpayer I would be furious if they even attempted it.... they should just do their own thing.

I told my other half I was going to volunteer to help at the 2012 Olympics and he said "Hmmm.... will that mean you will end up dancing in lycra?"  lol

It won't be as amazing as China for sure. They spent 40 billion dollars. I don't think any country has every spent that much.
