  2. teacher for mankind in the sense of how he lived his life and carried out God's will -Prophet Muhammed (saw) is someone that all people should look to as an example as he was the perfect being

  3. oh my God dear brother, come down to earth.  Allah reminds us several times in the Quran that Muhammed (p) was a man of flesh and bones.  It is the exact same logic of deitifying man that led Christians to worship Jesus (p) and you seem headed towards that same course.  Who told you he is made from light?  Who told you he can do anything?

Your knowledge of Islam is so glaringly lacking, I slapped myself on the forehead at the utter ignorance of the question.

  4. ASA, brother!

I think that u love Muhammad (P.B.U.H) very much. That is a sign of ur Iman. But if u think about it carefully, there were advantageous reasons for His being just a human being, and an unlettered one at that. There r many hadiths and Quranic verses which prove this all.

The Quraysh were fond of making many excuses to deny His Propherhood. So are the people these days. Now, just see what excuses they would have got!

'Ohhhh...He's not a noraml human being like us. Of course, He can easily fast the whole month and pray 5 times daily. He can do so many things. He's not made of clay like us. How can we do everything He tells us to? We're just human beings. He's made of light.'

Allah made Him a human being just like us, so that He could be a model for us. We have no excuse not to follow His teachings. If He can follow Allah's orders, so can we! He's our model.

Now, nobody can say 'Oh...He's not ordinary. He could do anything. He fought in battles against the kafirs because He had more powers than anybody else. But we can't do that! We don't have those powers! '

Muhammad (P.B.U.H) suffered many great losses in His life. He(P.B.U.H)  was injured by the kafirs in Uhud. He (P.B.U.H)'s children died etc. But He had no previous knowledge of that. He (P.B.U.H) couldn't even prevent those misfortunes. Because Allah wanted us to see that He (P.B.U.H) was just like us. A role model for us. So He had to be like a normal human, right?

U must have noticed brother, how many non Muslims love to accuse our Prophet of cheating from the Bible and other sources. 'He just got most of His teachings from the Bible. They are similar to the Quran in many ways. Cheater! He copied it all from the previous scriptures. He wanted to pretend that He is a Prophet Himself, He could have easily done it.' and other such allegations. Allah wanted to prevent such doubts from arising into our minds. So He didn't let Muhammad (P.B.U.H) get formal education, and learn to read and write.

Now, nobody must say that He read the Bible or other books and copied stuff. It's an advantage. Many of His Companions could read and write, but He could not.

U can see how He taught His followers without reading or writing Himself! The best teacher of all was unlettered.

  5. 1) yes(هو النبي الامي)

    2)yes,coz it's ALLAH's will

  6. 1. Most Arabs at the time were illiterate so yes.

    2. I don't believe in prophets. But going Islamically he probably was because God can see the future right?

    3. Maybe he became a Prophet because it set a example that God would choose non-Israelite Prophets aswell.

    4. No not really. I am sure he was a great man. But you just cannot discount everyone else.

    5. Well according to Islam he could as long as God willed.

    6. Caliphs? The forth rightly guided companions, Jesus, Mahdi and etc.

I hope you did mind not me answering even though I am not Muslim. I still have a lot of respect for the man he changed Arabia for the better. But what would he have to say to the men of Saudi now? Not allowing women to drive. He will be disappointed I guess.

Well you understand the Quran, right? Well that was his message. So what is the problem?

  7. I see that you are committing excess in the additional details:

Muhammad (pbuh) was unlettered (illiterate) and if you don't believe us, then read the following verses:

007.157 "Those who follow the messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures),- in the law and the Gospel;- for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him,- it is they who will prosper."

007.158 Say: "O men! I am sent unto you all, as the Messenger of Allah, to Whom belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth: there is no god but He: it is He That giveth both life and death. So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the Unlettered Prophet, who believeth in Allah and His words: follow him that (so) ye may be guided."

    Al-Qur'an, 007.157-158 (Al-Araf [The Heights])

Muhammad (pbuh) was NOT created from light but was just like us -- a human:

    018.110 قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ يُوحَى إِلَيَّ أَنَّمَا إِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ فَمَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُو لِقَاءَ رَبِّهِ فَلْيَعْمَلْ عَمَلا صَالِحًا وَلا يُشْرِكْ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِ أَحَدًا

018.110 Say: "I am but a man like yourselves, (but) the inspiration has come to me, that your Allah is one Allah: whoever expects to meet his Lord, let him work righteousness, and, in the worship of his Lord, admit no one as partner.

    Al-Qur'an, 018.110 (Al-Kahf [The Cave])

  8. 1 - He can't read.

    2 - No.

    3 - became prophet at age 40.

    4 - Yes

    5 - No.

6 - 12 leaders are from Qoraish and they aren't all his descendants.

He is not made from light. He is a human just like you an me. Where did you hear this?!!

  9. 1.) This was another sign of his truthfulness that the eloquent and perfect Qur'an flowed forth from his lips

2.) He says, "I was khatamanabiyyeen at that time when Adam was not yet created."  This shows that he was the greatest Prophet of Allah.

3.) He was already the greatest Prophet in Allahs estimation

    4.) Agreed

5.) Not Anything.  In 17:94 the Jews ask him to ascend to heaven and send a book and he replies that he's only a Mortal and hence cannot do this.  Allah commands him to say to the people that since he is only a Messenger, he cannot ascend - that Allah does not make mortal messengers ascend.

6.) He referred to the 12 Mujaddads, all of which whom have come.  He said that one would be raised every century to guide Muslims, which alhumdolillah they were.  Then he said Imam Mahdi and Messih would come, which, true to the Prophecy of Muhammad (sa), did come in the person of Hazrat Ahmad (as).

love for all, hatred for none

  10. I love Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, more than I love even myself.  He was a Noble Prophet and Messenger to mankind (his Prophethood started when he was 40.  He was not a Prophet before birth, though he may have been destined to be.)  He can only do so much as Allah willed him to, and as such his life was awe inspiring.  All praise and glory be to Allah.  And I'm not totally sure about the twelve leaders thing, I'll have to look into it more.  Allah knows best!
