Currently, New Zealand's population is roughly 4,300,000. What do you predict the population to be in the next 5 years and how do you predict this will impact on New Zealanders and their current way of life. Do you think that immigration from countries with entirely different religions, cultures and ways of life to New Zealand will begin to cause social problems and tensions like is has done in the UK, USA and Australia?

  1. New Zealand is experiencing a lot of immigration at the moment, so if this keeps up, then the population could be nearing 5,000,000 in the next 5 years.

  2. I DON'T CARE BUT WHETHER A COUNTRY HAS A LARGE POPULATION OR SMALL(IT DOESN'T MEAN THEY ARE THE GREATEST OR WORSIEST PLACES) ^^ I LOVE NEW ZEALAND BUT I HOPE WE GET A LOT MORE OF HOT GUYS HERE ^^ HEHE THERE'S LOTS OF HOT GUYS BUT MORE AND MORE GUYS IS GREAT. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA MAYBE 4 MILLION OF MORE GUYS IS GREAT ^^ HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OH WELL I LOVE NEW ZEALAND!!!!!!!!!! IT ROCKS MY SOCKS

  3. with immigration could be approaching 5 million

there will be social tensions but there shouldn't really be unless people are bigoted and stereotype immigrants, the media are pretty bad at this

  4. I would agree with the above figures.

I also believe if there were to be any tension; it would be caused by the immigrants themselves.  True kiwis are laid back and relaxed and do not like conflict and tension. They're also hard workers which just get on with life with a good christian grounding of sharing and caring for others!  Above all New Zealand is all about freedom of speech and living life to the full!
