What do you think Talk show host have in their coffee cups? Coffee, Coke, Juice?

My guess is that it’s water unless someone likes a particular juice or cold tea.  There’s no way it’s coffee.  I can’t stand cold coffee unless it’s iced coffee.  You know what they’re drinking is not warm.

I think it changes every night for their own preference. Johnny Carson always joked that cocktails were in the coffee cups.

my understanding is that it is usually water unless requested differently.

i've heard references over the years to whats in those cups and they definitely vary; morning shows usually reference their drink as coffee  when it is coffee, /like "this is good coffee, etc." , i also remember Kelly Rippa spilling water out of regis' cup once, so idk.......

Leno definitely drinks water normally.

and i remember video of andy kaufman on letterman (in the 70s or 80s) throwing "coffee" at that wrestler guy.

i think its preference- they'll get what they ask for
