  1. Don't do it. Matched tattoos are as cursed as tattooed names. Too, do you want a butterfly or a fairy when you're older? Or possibly single?

Talk to your wife about her reasons for wanting you to have the same tattoos as her. Maybe she'd be willing to get something else, or simply not insist on matching ones.

Just don't get a tattoo to make someone else happy. Do it for yourself, or don't do it.

  2. well a fairy and a butterfly is a bit feminine- prephaps she could compromise a bit and get a more universal tattoo. However, if you dont have a problem with it then go get it. People can hardly say "oh hes g*y" can they? I mean, you have a wife! So telling the story behind the tattoos (matching with your wifes) is enough to tell everyone you arnt g*y.

If you dont feel this would work for you, tell your wife so, and prehaps the two of you could work together to create an oringinal tattoo that means something for the both of you.

    Good luck!

  3. no thats fine, i dont think he will think you are g*y, plus if it make s your wife happy, who cares?

  4. Exact matching? You could get those two things and make them a little more masculine, and put them on different parts of your body.

By not having your tattoos EXACTLY the same, you can still keep your ego from being bruised and you won't have any regrets later.

  5. She should come to an agreement with you to get something that is neither feminine or masculine, after all - YOU have to live with it on your body as well.

I understand you want to make your wife happy but you obviously don't think it's a good idea if you're posting this question!!

Remember a tattoo is life and you're probably going to end up getting it covered up anyways or removed.

Try and think of something this is special that signifies your relationship that you will both be happy with and put the idea to her.

  6. kinda girly for a man. just my opinion...its not just the tattoo artist that would think you were g*y lol. its sweet though that you would do that for her but its your body and you'll have it forever...maybe they could manly it up a little..but not sure how. a butterfly will always look feminine no matter what u do to it unless you have it set on fire with a fishin line through it or something stupid lol have fun!

  7. Maybe you get the fairy to representt her and whatever she has done for you or who she is to you. And she gets the butterfly to represent you. Use colors that arent so feminine. Like red and black. Dont worry about what other people think of it because this something that represents you and your marriage nobody else. Also have tattoo artist that you trust guide you both into getting it just right before you do it since it is permenant.
