I'm a college student. Yesterday afternoon, I told my mom that my urine is dark, my abs hurt, and I feel very fatigued. She told me I was prob constipated and "who isn't tired in this heat?" I told her I don't think it's constipation (earlier I had told her I woke up w/diarrhea). She just insisted it was constipation. I rarely tell her when something is wrong b/c she doesn't listen. I listen and sympathize w/her complaints throughout the day. I have even gone out to get her meds, clear soda, etc.. She tells me all about my older bro's, fam's, and complete stranger's probs. I'm always last. There have been times I told her I was sick, and she said it wasn't very serious. I waited and wound up having to take antibiotics. Even when I told her, she was like meds for what?!? She's not lways like this but she's been getting a lot worse in recent yrs. Even when she does listen, she justs tells me about her simialar probs tht are so much worse than mine or "that happens to everyone."

  1. She is your Mom and this is what a daughter must go through as years go by..  She is frustrated it seems by her health issues also and certainly does not want you getting sick on her as you seem to be her life support!  So kneel down say a prayer and ask God to give you the strength to understand and be patient with you Mom.  You are a good person to do all the things you do and understand that you are appreciated she just has a hard time showing it.

    Best of luck

  2. dark urine

  3. i'm sorry you're dealing with this.  i wonder what happend to mom in her past, that makes her so unattached to her daughter?  sounds like there's an underlying issue that she should address.
