Fanboys are people who constantly bash the other console with even knowing what it does and they usually have no proof or make stuff up about the other consoles for example there is somebody on this whos username is R.O.B hes a perfect example of a nintendo fanboy

A fanboy is someone completely biased with a console. A Wii fanboy is so obsessed with his Wii console. An Xbox 360 fanboy, a PS3 fanboy, you get the idea. Sometimes if they are over-obsessed, they can tell lies about another console. I hate fanboys who post questions about consoles sucking. It's just annoying. I let people enjoy their consoles.

It is someone who shows blind allegiance to a certain company or console in this case. They will often try to make other consoles look bad using biased answers or sometimes, just lies. They are often not well informed about their competing consoles and this just adds more fuel to the fire

I have a PS3 but I don't try to force people to like it over the Wii or 360, play the console you like and don't start more console wars.

A fanboy is someone who has so much blind pride in one product that they cannot fathom the possibility of a rival product having any merit whatsoever. They like to insult people whose preferences don't match their own; for some reason, fanboys don't realize that everyone is entitled to have an opinion. A fanboy cannot accept that two things can be equally good for different reasons (i.e., an apple tastes as good as an orange, but the flavors are very different).

They are usually insecure preteens and teenagers who are desperately trying to fit into a demographic and "be a part of something". Fanboys usually grow out of it when they get to college or start working in the real world and realize that nobody really cares.

a fanboy is simply a video gamer that is first biased to 1 console. now this could also blend in with a company such as a nintendo fanboy instead of a wii fanboy. they will, no matter what anybody says, always side with there presious console. they will stick with there console to the end. now these fanboys are irrational. they make up lies or other things that are simply radical to bash another system. that brings me to my second point, they bash the other consoles. now i wouldn't consider a fanboy a person who souly just sides with there console and has pride because they own this certain console, but a fanboy takes it to the extreme. they will spend there time and energy bashing a console and explain why there console is in fact better. now fanboys might have motives behind this. such as they picked a console right from the beggining and they regret buying it, so they will try to make people feel bad about the owners of the better console. they might simply want to feel soppirior to others. they want to make people believe there console is better, etc.

now for the most part, a fanboy will side with only the system and sort of side with the company, but not always. such as there will be many xbox fanboys but simply don't have any feelings toward microsoft or its previous conosoles.

but each fanboy has one thing in common. there annoying to the general public. they start up arguments about which is better. and they will not ever side with any console except there own. i find that this fanboys have never played the other systems. they do not realize what there actually bashing. if they owned this console like somebody gave it to them for free, they would realize that the console isn't that bad.

mostly fanboys give in to stereotypes and take those stereotypes to the extreme. lets take one for example. ps3 has no good games. now this might have been true at the begging of the release, well not true since there were some like resistance and motorstorm. but these fanboys pick up on this fast and use it to there advantage for another reason why the console sucks. they will use this excuse even far after the stereotype is lifted. there are too many good games on the ps3 for me to count on both hands, but fanboys of the other consoles will still say that it has no good games.

if you ask me, fanboys will consider themselves hardcore gamers, but in reality they are not hardcore gamers. you should ask a question stating "what's a hardcore gamer" because i will also give you an in depth deffanition on that as well. a hardcore gamer is open to other consoles, the anti-fanboy

Someone who is utterly obsessed with one thing (Nintendo for example) and knows everything about it.  Fanboys also will never buy from another brand, even if, for example, Nintendo's product was inferior to Microsoft's or Sony's.

Simply enough, it's somebody with a bias torwards one idea/company/product, etc, who supports their opinions with irrational ideas. Examples-

Playstation Fanboy - (OLOL All 360s get RRoDs & have terrible versions of PS3 exclusives!)

Xbox Fanboy - (HAHAHAHAHA PS3 has like 2 exclusives all others get slallowed by the all-mighty 360!)

Nintendo Fanboy - (ZELDA IS THE ONLY TRUE ARTISTIC GAME- HALO COPED METROID ZOMG)

It goes beyond consoles.

PC gaming fanboy - (CONSOLES SUX DEY GUNNA DIE OUT INA WEEK)

Mac fanboy - (Hah, look at Microsoft try to revive their dead operating system. If it's not apple, it's crapple.)

Heck, it even transends into food.

McDonalds fanboy - (YUM YUM NUGGETS Burger kign tastes liek poopie!)

Burger King - (LULZ Whopper is leik 100 billion times better 'dan Big Macs!)
