What do you think a lady would prefer??

my wife's birthday is coming up....and I bought her some jewelry already and I'm going to have roses for her on the day of her birthday...but I have to go to work early while she's still sleeping......would it be better if I left the roses and jewelry for her to find when she wakes up with a card....or should I wait until I get home to give it to her myself????

wake her up with kisses before you leave for work; leave the roses by the bed.  give her the jewelry in person when you get home from work.

Leave her one of the roses and one piece of jewelry, with a sweet note for her to find, maybe something she likes for breakfast, bagels, donuts whatever, give her the rest when you come home

I think you should make her breakfast and leave it out for her, like cereal or something. Along with a card. Then you give her the jewelery when ya get home! genius.

It's all about being there personally to hand deliver your gift, no doubt--

Yeah the gift itself is fantastic, but it's not heart-warming without the most important part - you.

How is she going to celebrate if you're not there? How is she going to respond to her birthday present? You'll never know if you're not there my friend.

I think you should leave it for her in the morning.

It will be a suprise. But you should set it up in a clever way to suprise her when she wakes up.  like if she wakes up and goes into the kitchen or something, and the roses catch her eye immiediatley.

She would be stuck thinking about you all day.

leave it for her to find !!! also if you have been with her for more than a year then get her 1 rose for each year you have been together and if its a year or less then 1 rose for each month!!!

if you're getting home at a reasonable hour (5pm or something) i would say wait.  maybe write a note saying what you have planned for the evening

if you're communting and working shifts, it might not be that romantic after a 15 hour day and you just want to go to sleep.
