  1. i think it means you need $$$$$$$$$$$ to be successfull in nascar, o well it doesnt bother me i think thats what they have the other seires for might as well let em keep spending the money to make the racin good as possible

  2. Teams with the money will be all there is to NASCAR in few years. The COT has done the opposite of what it was supposed to do -reduce cost so smaller teams have a chance  But with cars being so equal the rich teams can spend considerably more on testing to find that little advantage.  Remember races are not truly won by drivers anymore but engineers analyzing results of tests on computers

  3. I hadn't noticed that.

The 12 that make it deserve to be there. The other teams need to do some homework during the off season..

  4. I think that these are the teams and drivers who have performed. I would like to see Kasey make it but it has nothing to do with what kind of car he drives. If I could bump out a Toyota to make room for him that would be great!..lol

  5. the same thing i think about only three manufacturers being represented (presently there are no dodges) - they worked hard, had the financial backing, and played the overall game the best. multi-car teams have a significant advantage, but not an automatic one. jgr and rcr are three-team organizations who will likely place all three of their teams in the chase. gem, penske, and mwr are three-team organizations that will most likely place none. just having multiple teams isn't enough - it's having the right people, the right equipment, and the right chemistry as well.

  6. It just goes to show flaws in the chase format. I will never agree on the chase being the proper way of determining the year's champion. I think they should go back to the old points system for determining the season champ and then have a chase "on the side".

My point is this. With 10 more races to finish the season (once the chase starts) then more teams would be allowed to move into the top 10 and possibly top 5 under the old points system. With the new chase format that's history (impossible).

10 years down the road the statistics will not show how good a team actually performed in any given year because once the chase starts they can do no better than 12th ... right...???

    That's a flaw...!!!
