What do you think about AVG Antivirus 8.0 ?

What do you think about this program? Would you reccomend a better one? Thanks

I have been using AVG security suite with antivirus 8, spyware, and so forth since early 2007.   I have had no problems with it and I run other checks every month using other antivirus programs and have found nothing.  

AVG runs well  on my Vista and stays in the background bothering very little if ever and updates almost daily.  I imagine there could be better but AVG has done the job for me and everything runs smoothly.  I will keep using it until is does not do the trick and screws my cp up.

Avast is much better.

I had AVG for a while and it's really not a good program. The options are vague and you can easily be screwed if you don't know for sure what you're doing with AVG.

avg gets very poor detection ratings

Avira or Avast are way better (and they are free antivirus programs as well)

Avira has the best detection rates (out of all FREE antivirus programs), but its only an Antivirus

you mean the paid or the free one?

for the free version, it has a nice job, you can trust the protection, it just the ads annoys me..
