What do you think about Arby's buying out Wendy's?

I hope they don't change the menu or quality at Wendy's. I currently do taste tests for Wendy's several times a year. That better not change, its fun!

I guess I'm taking a wait and see kind of approach to the whole thing...

I like both Wendy's and Arby's, but I don't really want to see them combined or anything like that!!  

It sounded like Dave Thomas's family didn't like the idea too much... They sounded very disappointed actually...

I really liked Dave and all the commercials that he did for Wendy's... it's too bad he his no longer alive... I'm sure if he was, this would never have happened!!

From a business perspective, it was a pretty good deal for everyone.  They will be the #3 in Fast Food places.  However, in my area of the Midwest, both Arby's and Wendy's are struggling with the success of McDonald's.

Is that true? I didn't hear about that but I doubt it'll happen.

If it's true, then it would definitely be a bad idea, and I also don't think Wendy's would give in. I'm not taking sides on any of the two, but Wendy's corporation is a lot "bigger" than Arby's.

good question i haven't seen an arbys in a while they don't seem to be so popular as wendys is so it's odd that they would buy them out.

Jeez...one freakin conglomerate buying another doesn't mean anything!  You think they're gonna turn all the Arby's into stinking Wendy's?? Get a grip...it's just more money in the buyers pockets.

Well guys you may all say i dont know anything but i work for wendys all i do is work in a local store but we are privately owned and i asked our owner if were going to be arbys and he said no because arbys just bought the name that they do not own any stores to be able to tell us what to do...so i wouldnt worry about wendys becoming arbys or arbys closing wendys....so due to the fact that all stores are owned by franchise and private owners they really cant just closing p wendys...so dont worry about it...

I think it's sad for the Thomas family. I hope it doesn't change Wendy's menu.
