What does everyone think about the big trucks being on the road everywhere? In different states, the speed limit is different (lower) for the trucks. There are alot of trucks on every highway all around, and the borders are clogged. I want to know people's opinion of the big rigs and the drivers...whatever your experiences have been.

  1. i think they need to not break the limit on the amount of stuff the haul but other then that the speed is fine from what i know where it is i have had pretty good times with em i fallow them all the time  behind them i like the better gas mileage=]

  2. boring. unless its burt reynolds and smokey that will be cool.

  3. i drive a simi tractor trailler truck i have my Class A and HAZMAT DOBBLE AND TRIPPLE AND TANKER And Motorcycle indorsmat

this is my opinion those cars talking on there cell phones and texting stop doing that I been driving 17 years now and i seen almost everything to driving down moutions on the i 80  in the snow to seeing torantos on the i 70 being stuck in traffic on the i 10 and driving up on the rte 1 in callaforna and driving on the I 90 to I 95 you can get a blue touth head set when you are talking keep 2 hands on the wheel and becarful and i only accdent i been into when i was 17 old and i was not paying attation and yes  its slower for us to go threw a light or when we have to stop it takes us a distance of a foot ball field to stop are breaks are good but not that good we use them all the time we try not using them buy using a jake break and down shifting to lower gears we have 13 gears and we are shifting all the time and paying attention to the road and to the sides of us it take one secont to get into a accdent. I was on I70 in a freagtliner and i was going about 70 mph and i heard on the weather channal on the cb there is going to be torado warnings for that area so i keep the hammer down and hail thunder lighting and everything elce i called on the cb and they sayed it was all clear up a head so i hold on tight and hammer down then i was a peace full day afterwards but stay off your cell phones and texting will wile driving please and thanks

  4. Without those big rigs you would not have that computer or the chair or the building you are in...we need the big rigs or this economy stops...oh by the way with no trucks on the road there would be no cars.

  5. They are a very importand part of the economy.

And i feel bad for them with the gas prices being this high.

  6. For me its kinda scary because i drive a low sports car. So when im on the side of them or anything they have pretty much no chance of seeing me. Sometimes i can see under the trailer's they are pulling, which reminds me how low my car is and how high up they are. Truck drivers here in CA don't bother me too much though, most of them stay on the right side of the highway so they don't create traffic congestion. One thing they do do though, is make it pretty much impossible to take an exit! I've had so many times when im on the 3rd lane, and the slow lane is full of trucks. So when im trying to make an exit, i gotta get in between the trucks to exit, which is kinda freaky sometimes cause a lot of truck drivers don't slow down and they get  right up behind me. I find myself in a position with one big rig in front of me and one behind me quite often....Some of the drivers are cool and they'll let me through to exit, some just seem to get aggravated that im trying to fit my small car in front of them to exit and they either don't let me in or they pretty much tail gate me till i exit.

  7. We need them. Everything you buy arrived at the store on a big rig. Remember to give them plenty of room. They cannot stop and turn like a car. Also note that most company owned trucks are governed at 60 to 70 mph . They will get out of your way when they finish passing the other truck. These drivers are trying to get to their destinations as fast as they can legally. They are paid by the mile. The quicker they get unloaded, the quicker they can pick up their next load.

But, there is no excuse for the super truckers who are driving 80mph and riding 2 feet behind your car bumper because you will not move out of his way fast enough. They are stupid and they are the ones that you see turned over on the side of the road because they have driven 1000 + miles without sleep. These guys are in the minority.
