Are their courses good for high school?

How much time a day do you spend?

or is it better for you to learn through making your own curriculum and why?

Speak from your experience :)

Thanks!

  1. I don't know about the high school courses, as my grandaughters are in elementary school COVA.  My daughter had some surgery last year, and was feeling pretty rough for a while.  I was excited and intimidated to be their sub.  I did this easily, and we all had fun.

The lessons can be a bit redundant, offering many ways for each learner to learn, and my daughter told me that once the kids "get it" to give them the assessment and mark it as mastered.

My daughter talks of pulling her kids out once the CSAP age is m et, and has had one good teacher and one not so good.  I have a firend who used it for middle school kids and she really liked it.  I would expect an average day to be about 4 or 5 hours in high school and the kids will have more self directed learning, rather than parent instruction with their interaction coming from the teachers.

Sorry I could not give more info.  I think COVA is a good choice for parent who want to educate their children at home.
