She is essentially the same person.She probably lost the weight because she wants to look fashionably thin,like so many other women of her status.Mary had to upgrade her wardrobe to match her life as a royal princess,but who she is inside is still the same.Frederic knew about the changes that would come to Mary's life and she was prepared.
