  1. It will go down but its gonna take a few more years. Once Martin Truex Jr is gone they'll go right down the drain.

  2. agree with tbone

  3. Yep, looks that way.  Yeah, some legacy...hope Dale Sr. doesn't roll over too many times in his grave, poor guy.  R.I.P.

"Teresa Earnhardt Looking to sell DEI?   Sirius NASCAR Radio's Sirius Speedway is reporting today that Teresa Earnhardt has enlisted the services of Bear, Stearns and Company to find a buyer -- or at least a major financial investor -- for Dale Earnhardt, Inc. Bear Stearns is an investment bank, securities trading and brokerage firm based in New York City, and has been charged with finding a buyer for the entire operation. Barring that, Earnhardt is said to be interested in selling at least a minority interest in the team. DEI President of Global Operations Max Siegel declined to comment on the story when contacted earlier today."

    Go Jr.>>>>

  4. she should be so proud of herself, she took one of the most up and coming NASCAR teams, and turned it into a third tier team at best.

  5. DEI is a third tier toilet now.

  6. dei SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS!

  7. She is looking for a investor, just like Roush-fenway, Gillette-Everham, and Waltrip and Petty,  face it she lost a wad of $$$$ when Dale Jr left... For the sake of Dale Sr's kids, including Taylor she will try to save the company I hope.. But times are hard all over right now, company's just do not have the major $$$$ for sponsorship...Heck even the fans as well look at those empty seats in Daytona....Times are tough right now.  They are loosing Mark Martin as well now, that leaves Menard and Armiola, and hopefully Truex Jr, but I think he'll bail as well...

    Go Dale Jr & Hms

  8. You could see the writing on the wall when Jr left, it is sad.  We should go halvesies on it Beth, you could take care of the technical side of it and I'll handle the sponsor/PR part LOL  I'll have MY people call YOUR people ASAP!

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  9. i notice it was under news and RUMORS

    and i'm with football linda -she's right/

  10. You know I may sound cynical towards DEI at times, but I really do want them to succeed. But since Sr died, the management end of DEI has been its own worst enemy. Long before the whole Jr VS. Teressa debate theres been a lot of heated arguments between employees and the higher ups. There have been many times were they would threaten their crews and drivers publicly instead of considering maybe putting some much needed R&D into their equipment.

I'm sure a share holder will lift some of the load off them finacially, but what DEI really needs is a person who has a better understanding of a race team. Someone who can recognize and hire skilled workers or can easily identify potenial trends or problems in the racing community. That reason alone I'm still wondering why they let Jay Frye go. If anything on that Ginn merger, he was someone to have kept on.

  11. It's like watching your best friend ruin their life because they can't control their drinking. Something is astray in that organization and they got too lax on utilizing their resources. The motivation and drive isn't there by the right people. You know those "gray areas"? I bet they never get scrutinized. Someone doesn't have the enlightenment to fill them in with color. A business will stagnate. Of course i'm speaking metaphorically. But I hate to see DEI dwindle (again)...

  12. Hmmm... How can that be? Isn't she the one that made DEI successful in the first place? I mean everyone claims she built the business didn't they? Why would a business guru like Mrs Earnhardt sell a business that she grew up around. Didn't her "daddy" race? Doesn't that make her a NASCAR team owner guru? I don't get it! I am getting teary eyed (trying not to laugh).

Well do you know if she will still sell it to Dale Jr? Surely she will not let Dale get in the way of $$$$$$$$$ will she? Is the house for sale too? What about those trophies and pictures of Dale Earnhardt Jr she threw out? Surely the buyer would be interested in them for memorabilia or did she secretly sell them and not throw them away just so she could make a quick buck off of Dale Jr's trophies and pictures?

The money I guess would be so her and her daughter can live happily ever after without actually caring if their driver wins again, huh? Sounds like she drove the business in the ground just despite Dale Jr. And all this time people were saying it's Dale. These people should be ashamed of themselves.

Bear, Stearns and Company is reported to be the seeker of a buyer or potential investor.

  13. At this point DEI is not for sale. They are just looking for investors the same way the Petty gang and Jack Roush has done. If things do line up and events fall into place, I can see Tony Stewart maybe buying into DEI or something happening there. How funny would it be after all the stories and finger pointing for Dale Jr and Tony to pool resources and take over DEI?  One interesting note. I have noticed that the sign in front of DEI's new building ( the old Ginn Racing shop) is still covered. I am wondering why. There's been a cover over the sign for at least the last few weeks.

  14. They won't be the last.  In this economy things are going to get alot worse before they start getting better.  I'm sure NASCAR itself is going to go through some big changes

  15. This truly makes me sad. Dale built this company up from the ground and Teresa is tearing it down. I truly believe Dale is turning over in his grave. Part of me hopes one of the kids will buy it, part of me wants Teresa to pay for what she did. I wouldn't mind Tony buying it, then he sells some of it to Junior, with them being partners. I just hope some random stranger doesn't get their hands on it. The company was built for the kids, and all along people have said it is Juniors fault, Teresa is great, her stepkids are greedy. They weren't greedy, they where trying to prevent exactly this from happening.

  16. would be be a "hoot' if Tony buys her out and he and Jr be partners??

Just rumor mill still, guess she wants some investment company to help her out of the mess she created after SR passed,,so sad though, not for her in particular but for the Earnhardt legacy!!

    WTG Angel..you said it girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. Doesn't Junior own 49 percent or did he opt out I would like to see him buy it and bring  up Keselowski and some veteran drivers to tutor him  Please correct me if I a m wrong but I think he still owns part of it

  18. could be  maybe Smoke should by some and then sell 10% to Jr. and then he would finally own DEI with Kelley

  19. When Dale Sr. died it started when Teresa began her power and control trip.  She was more interesting in the symbol and making the cars look pretty than the business.  If she would have taken Dale Jr.'s offer last year and gave him more of a percentage of the company he could have helped her make it.  You know everybody takes her side saying Dale left it to her and she's doing the best she can BULL-HOCKEY!

  20. Thats not the rumor Beth. I listened to the entire deal on Sirrius this morning. She's possibly looking for a minority investor just like Roush, Evernham, Haas,  Yates and several other teams nowadays.

Of course its a rumor as of now.
