Its never too early to think but I am a little skeptical on Pacquiao in this one, do you think he has the guts?

by the way Pac challenged a bigger guy in his earlier fight, the name Sanchez? it was a draw but he should have won, Sanchez is black and he passed away

Diaz is younger though, has Manny challenged any other younger champs? he seemed to dethrone all the older ones thats why

  1. The question is, could Pacquiao carry his power to the 135 weight?

If going to 135 would be easier for him, it would mean that he would have more energy in not trying to lose the weight and focus on other aspects,

but if going to 135 would make him slower, then it would affect his punches and it would make his fight with Diaz a toss up.

But at the same time, if Morales was able to knockdown Diaz, Pacquiao has that same opportunity to do the same, if not, even better than Morales.

In the end, I believe that Pacquiao can carry his power but he needs to be in top condition against 135 fighters. Pacquiao's greatest asset will be his power because he is going up into a completely new weight class.. for once, he will usually be the smaller fighter in the ring.

  2. I don't think he would take him lightly, but I do think Manny is in for a surprise - this will be the first time he squares off with someone bigger than himself, who will probably be less effected by his power shots.

I like Manny a lot, but you can just see that a good boxer that deals with his power early will just pick him apart - whether Diaz is the guy to do it, I'm not sure, but as he takes on bigger, younger guys he is going to be in trouble.

  3. Yes Pacquiao fought younger guys but they seem to be little inexperienced for him. (I'm talking about champions here, former champions actually) They usually end up on the floor. The older once seem to survive him longer because of their experience.

Diaz is a good fighter, so is Manny Pacquiao, It'll be a great fight.

  4. Pacquiao is faster, with better upper body movements, and unlike David Diaz, Manny's power comes from his lower body. Manny will win no doubt.
