So I'm from Minnesota which is the Midwest and I was reading in a magazine a few days ago about fashion and I couldn't believe how many disses there were about the Midwest and how slow the region was when it comes it fashion I was insulted because some guy in the magazine wrote how no one in the midwest has any Fashion sense. I don't know what part he's been in but I was recently at the Mall of america and I was just looking at people and there were so many people with so many different fashion tastes there everyone had their own thing going on. Then I was in Minneapolis and just looking at people walking around town on the weekend and I was just looking at their clothes and seeing how they dressed and to me eveyone had their own trendy style so here's my question. If people in the midwest are slow in fashion are we all suppose to look like people in L.A or people in NY should we all be looking at magazines and copying what Mary kate olsen or Lindsay Lohan is wearing if we did that wouldn't no one be original? I don't care to walk down the street in big *** chanel glasses and handbags bigger than me, or those ugly long gown's that Nicole Richie is wearing. I don't care to brag about how much money I spent on a pair of jeans and a Boutique If I wore all of that wouldn't I be a clone? anyway I love Haute couture seriously If I had enough money I would wear it all day everyday.

  1. Your a hypocrite for saying you don't want to wear chanell glasses, but you want to wear haute couture

EDIT: I'm not an idiot, your just a hypocrite and yes, the midwest is the least fashionable, all you guys wear are farm clothes for your farms that you run

EDIT: I agree with Blust R, they are right, you guys are just a bunch of face stuffers, there is a reason why no press goes to the midwest, and have you noticed how almost everyone in your midwest region is just overweight by atleast 50 pounds, I'm not sure about the kids but the I know that the adults are

  2. Well, think of it this way, LA and New York get way more press than the midwest. And it's not just the midwest, it's every state against New York and LA. I'm from Maryland, but I never see anyone writing anything on fashion in Maryland. If somebody says that the midwest has no fashion sense, then chances are, they have never been to the midwest, they just know that it's not NY or LA, therefore it must be bad. But people all over the world have their own fashion sense, so nobody should bash a part of the country based on a few people.

  3.     who cares.

  4. Well WHOO HOO is wrong I'm from Chicago and there are plenty of people here with great fashion sense I love seeing all the different tastes!!!! I love being a midwestian and so should you disregard all that magazine said we know we have fashioin sense so it doesn't matter!!!

  5. The article is correct. Off all our regions, the midwest is the lowest seller (we have very few plus size items). The east coast has fashion, even tho it has winter. The south and the west has fashion & because it is warm, their bodies are in the best shape (sell the best there). The midwest is all plus sizes when we do sell things. In the midwest they would rather spend money stuffing their faces and looking bad, then on clothes and looking good.

*Edit: It was based on our sales. I am sure that is a large part of what the article was based on. Our headquarters is in the midwest. I am in the midwest. We spend most of our money trying to gain business in the midwest but to no avail. We have stores in some of the largest malls in the midwest. Yet they go into the fast food courts next to us, when clearly they dont need to gain anymore weight. Well they do come in the first question is do we have plus sizes. There is a reason we have all our runway shows and things on the east & west coast & it is not because the midwest is so fashion trendy & we like to pay more to NOT have it local. Call me what you will but the numbers do not lie & 50 plus fashion  magazies can't be wrong.
