Google Knol, the rival of Wikipedia, just launched today.
One gripe I have is that all the knols are notorious for being super-lengthy, and it could frustrate a lot of readers. I wish people would start making knols like About.com guides instead of writing an entire encyclopedia into one knol. About.com chunk up their topics into bite-size digestive articles where each article focuses on one idea alone. The length is usually one page, two at max.
This way you maximize your Google Adsense visability by keeping articles short, yet interesting, informative, and still detailed. By scrolling down lengthy interesting content, the visibility of your Adsense ads is lost, and there goes your clicks. Alslo, by creating a new smaller article, you generate traffic everyday. BTW, I've only noticed only one or maximum of two Adsense ads per article. I have seen articles without ads which is appalling. It is your hard work. Get paid maximum for it!
So, what do you think about Google Knol?
